8.00 (good) | Heart breaking, as one can expect from Yuu Watase. The art is alright, but the plot, while dizzying at times, is very complex and actually very interesting.

7.00 (above average) | This is really only rated so low, because I hate the anime, but adore the manga. BAH. The female lead has JUST enough presence, and her budding relationship with Allen is adorable, but in the anime they shove her into the role of "MEGAAWESOMEWONDERFULGIRLZ". Rather than watch her grow, learn to admire her, you're FORCED to love her. And while I do appreciate her character, I rather watch Allen get the attention, please? I know he doesn't have boobs, but come on people.

7.50 (good) | The OVAs don't do justice to the story, but you get a bit of fanservice between the male leads... so it's a bit of a hand off. I would say that if you've never read the manga, you might be lost, but I showed this to a rather picky friend (who isn't even a fan of shounen-ai) and she went out and bought it herself. The art is... well, it's a bit painful because it's so old.

8.50 (very good) | The first season is alright. It isn't as nearly amazing as the manga is, and they throw Grell in too often. I don't mind him, but his zany antics became over the top instead of being... mostly amusing as they are in the manga. The second season is no where near as good. It almost feels like a separate show. If I didn't know better, then I would think that the writers thought something along these lines, "OH let's add another tragic young boy, but make him even MORE tragic and depressing, people seem to like it so we'll keep it. We found there ARE men watching, so let's add a woman and at every possible opportunity, let's rip off her clothes ONLY at the breasts, and have men do highly suggestive or all out sexual things to her for no reason at all except BIG BEWBIES EQUALS ABUSE!" Sad. If they redo this series after the manga ends then follows it a lot more closely, it would be a 9.5.

9.25 (very good) | Would it be considered partially, or completely, since they only released two dvds? (Gawd, I hate 4Kids.)

9.50 (excellent) | Wow. I hadn't really gone into this series expecting much, but it turned out to have a really interesting plot. Most of the ending, you see coming, but a GOOD chunk is surprise. The relationship between the main characters is also adorable, but not forced.

9.25 (very good) | I enjoyed this, thanks in large part to Luka. Yep, this would be the only anime I watched at first for shallow reasons, the man is just so darn pretty. After the second or third episode, I was hooked. It might not be entirely original (what anime is anymore?) but it's done in a way that keeps it fairly fresh. The anime ended in a sudden, unfinished way that a lot of series seem to be ending, but at least this time there was a feeling of completion.
